Wim Jonk would not have acquired Ziyech

From the current selection the following players could without any problem play in midfield (most have already played as midfielder or will play in the future): Riechedly Bazoer, Donny van de Beek, Nemanja Gudelj, Frenkie de Jong, Davy Klaassen, Abdelhak Nouri, Jairo Riedewald, Lasse Sch?ne, Thulani Serero, Daley Sinkgraven, Nick Viergever and new acquisition Hakim Ziyech.
With a little creativity, you could put together a full team of these midfielders: Serero, Riedewald, Bazoer, Viergever in defense, Gudelj, van de Beek and Nouri in midfield, Sinkgraven, Klaassen and Ziyech in attack, with De Jong and Schone on the bank.
Peter Bosz will not do that of course, but it should be clear that there are far too many midfielders and it will not be easy to keep everyone happy. Gudelj, Bazoer and Klaassen will assume that they will play, while Riedewald seems to perform better in midfield and one can expect that Ziyech will not end up on the bench. Schone and Serero will probably not really expect to get playing time, but Sinkgraven will expect to get playing time, and Van de Beek will want to make more minutes than last season and also for the development of Nouri and De Jong it would be good to be allowed to make some minutes for Ajax 1.
One can think of many lineups, but few will expect that Van de Beek, Nouri and De Jong will make many minutes, and especially that is very unfortunate. Ziyech was hopefully not only acquired to keep the fans happy, or because it was not going so well the first games of the season, but the question is whether Ajax has thought sufficiently about the development of young talents. Wim Jonk probably would have stopped this acquisition.
